Managing Team Members
Effectively manage your workspace team by updating roles, removing members, and transferring ownership as your team evolves.
Viewing Team Members
Access your team member list:
The members list displays:
- Name and email - Member identification
- Role - Current permission level
- Status - Active, pending, or suspended
- Last active - Last login time
- Joined date - When member joined workspace
Changing Member Roles
Update permissions as team responsibilities change:
Role changes take effect immediately. The member will see updated permissions on their next page load.
Role Change Permissions
Who can change roles:
- Owners - Can change any member's role
- Admins - Can change Viewer and Editor roles
- Editors - Cannot change roles
- Viewers - Cannot change roles
Removing Team Members
Remove members who no longer need access:
What Happens When Members Are Removed
- Access - Immediately revoked to all workspace resources
- Dashboards - Created dashboards remain but ownership transfers to workspace owner
- Queries - Saved queries remain accessible to team
- Sessions - Active sessions terminated within 5 minutes
- Re-invitation - Can be re-invited anytime
Removing a member doesn't delete their created content. Dashboards and queries they created remain in the workspace.
Suspending Members
BusinessTemporarily disable access without full removal:
Suspended Member Status
- Cannot log in to workspace
- Retains role for when unsuspended
- Content preserved - Dashboards and queries remain
- Can be unsuspended by admins or owners
Unsuspending Members
- Find suspended member in Members list
- Click Suspended filter to show suspended members
- Click menu next to member
- Select Unsuspend
- Member regains previous access level
Transferring Workspace Ownership
Transfer full workspace control to another team member:
Ownership Transfer Effects
Current owner:
- Demoted to Admin role
- Loses billing access
- Loses ability to delete workspace
- Retains all other permissions
New owner:
- Gains full workspace control
- Receives billing management access
- Can transfer ownership again
- Can delete workspace
Ownership transfer cannot be reversed without the new owner's cooperation. Only transfer to trusted team members.
Member Activity Monitoring
TeamTrack team member activity and usage:
Activity Metrics
- Last login - Most recent workspace access
- Dashboards created - Total dashboards authored
- Queries run - Recent query activity
- Data exported - Export actions taken
- Resources accessed - Connections and collections viewed
Viewing Activity
- Navigate to Workspace Settings > Members
- Click member name to view profile
- Select Activity tab
- Review activity timeline
Bulk Member Management
BusinessManage multiple members simultaneously:

Bulk Removal
- Select multiple members via checkboxes
- Click Bulk Actions > Remove Members
- Review members to be removed
- Confirm bulk removal
Team Member Limits
Different plans support different team sizes:

When you reach your member limit, remove inactive members or upgrade your plan to invite more team members.

Viewer Permissions

Best Practices
Regular Access Reviews
- Review team members quarterly
- Remove members who left organization
- Verify roles match current responsibilities
- Check for inactive accounts
Role Assignment
- Start with Viewer for new members
- Promote to Editor as trust builds
- Limit Admin to essential personnel
- Only trusted leads should be Owner
Offboarding Process
- Remove from workspace immediately
- Transfer ownership of critical dashboards
- Document their created resources
- Review their connection access
- Audit recent activity
